1. Listen To Covers

If you’re playing on your own, you’re not going to be able to replicate the sound of “Tuesday’s Gone.” Try to find a few stripped down, solo covers instead. They’ll give you a better version of the sound that you should be striving for.

If you come across a cover that you’re particularly fond of, you might want to get in touch with the cover artist and ask them about the tab they use. They’ll be able to give you the information you need to come up with a cover of your own.

2. Put In Lots Of Practice

Unless you’re an expert guitarist, it’ll take a lot of time before you can deliver a satisfying rendition of a Lynyrd Skynyrd song. “Tuesday’s Gone” isn’t one of their complicated songs, but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy.

Set aside time for practice every day. If you schedule practice time, it’ll be harder for you to put off practice. If possible, you should try to put in at least 5 hours of practice a week. It may sound like a lot, but it can really make a difference.

3. Look For Tutorial Videos

If you’ve put in a lot of practice time, but are still struggling to learn this song, you may want to get some extra help. Look for a tutorial video that will break down the song and help you master it.

Because Lynyrd Skynyrd is such a popular band, it should be easy for you to find the kind of instruction you need. “Tuesday’s Gone” is one of those songs that people are always trying to learn.

If you aren’t able to find a video, you may want to consider paying for a few one-on-one lessons. You don’t need to find a guitar teacher you can see in person; there are a lot of people who will provide instruction over the web.

Being able to cover classic tunes is one of the best things about learning the guitar. While it’ll take a lot of work to master a song like this, it’s certainly worth the effort.

Spend some time listening to the original recording, and think about how you’d like it to sound when you play it. From there, get the music you need and start practicing the song. It may take a bit of time, but you’ll be able to learn it eventually.
