Learn How To Play Cat Stevens Wild World Guitar Chords

cat stevens wild world guitar tabDo you currently own a guitar, or are you considering purchasing one in the near future? Have you been a fan of Cat Stevens, and want to include some of his works into the songs that you learn how to play on your instrument? If so, you can learn how to play Cat Stevens’ Wild World and many of his other works if you are dedicated to the task.

The first thing you will need to do is consider you current level of knowledge regarding how to play the guitar and music theory in general. Do you already know how to read music or is your level of knowledge based on what you hear and are able to replicate? Most people do not have an ear tuned in enough to be able to pick up on the different notes without some type of training.

If you do not currently know how to read music, then you should strongly consider taking some music theory classes in order to better understand the world of music. The fact is that it is simple enough to grasp the basics, and you can delve further into the study if you find it enjoyable. However, by knowing the introductory information that is in beginner theory courses will allow you to look at pieces of sheet music and better grasp what it is that you are looking at.

Not only that, you will learn how to change the music that you are playing. For example, if a song was written in the key of C, and the people that you are playing with wish to play in a different key, with the knowledge you gain from theory, you can go through that song, and determine which notes are now appropriate for you at each point. This is an invaluable skill when it comes to playing any type of musical instrument.

While you are learning music theory, you can begin to play notes and chords on your guitar. This will help your fingers to learn where the notes are, without you looking at the guitar while you are playing. Your fingers will become stronger, and you will develop callouses on your fingertips due to the thin strings.

Find the sheet music online that has the guitar chords for Cat Stevens’ Wild World, and begin practicing. Remember that while you are learning the chords of a song that it is better to go at a slow tempo and get them correct than to rush through and make mistakes. The more you repeat the process, the easier it will become for you to play it at regular speed. You can do this with virtually any song that you have an interest in learning how to play on your guitar.

Music is one of the great joys in life. If you want to play the guitar, learn some theory as you are learning the instrument for years of enjoyment.
